Present law prohibits erection, display, or posting of political campaign signs on any publicly owned
property or right of way, or to or on any public utility pole or stanchion.
Proposed law retains this prohibition but makes an exception for political campaign signs erected,
displayed, or posted on the premises of any public school athletic field or public school gymnasium
if paid for by the political candidate or political campaign.
Effective August 1, 2025.
