SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 11

COMMENDATIONS. Commends Alexander David Townley Aucoin on being selected
"Student of the Year" at Doyle High School in Livingston Parish.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend and congratulate Alexander David Townley Aucoin on being selected the
3 2024-2025 "Student of the Year", as a graduating senior, at Doyle High School in
4 Livingston Parish.
5 WHEREAS, graduating from high school is an important milestone in a student's life
6 that signifies success in academics and the achievement of one's goals; and
7 WHEREAS, graduating from high school is also one of the most important indicators
8 of future success in life, including employment prospects, income potential, and overall
9 health; and
10 WHEREAS, Alexander David Townley Aucoin is set to graduate as a Southeastern
11 Scholar with a 4.1 GPA, an ACT score of 32, and a PSAT score of 1230, from Doyle High
12 School in May 2025, and it is appropriate to recognize him for all of his accomplishments
13 throughout his high school career; and
14 WHEREAS, beyond his academic achievements, Alexander has been a leader in both
15 his school and community; and
16 WHEREAS, during his time at Doyle High School, Alexander has been a member
17 of the concert band, the jazz band, and the BETA Club; and
18 WHEREAS, in addition to his extracurricular activities, and his duties at Doyle High

1 School, Alexander has worked diligently to prepare himself for college and plans to attend
2 the University of Georgia and study environmental engineering or environmental sciences;
3 and
4 WHEREAS, Alexander David Townley Aucoin exemplifies the very best of students
5 in the Class of 2025 and his future holds incredible promise; and
6 WHEREAS, through his academic achievements and his community involvement,
7 Alexander has formed a solid foundation upon which his future successes can be built, and
8 it is only fitting to acknowledge the accomplishment of Alexander David Townley Aucoin
9 upon being selected "Student of the Year" at Doyle High School in Livingston Parish.
10 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
11 does hereby commend and congratulate Alexander David Townley Aucoin on being selected
12 the 2024-2025 "Student of the Year" at Doyle High School in Livingston Parish.
13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
14 Alexander David Townley Aucoin.
