SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 11

A RESOLUTION
To commend and congratulate Alexander David Townley Aucoin on being selected the
2024-2025 "Student of the Year", as a graduating senior, at Doyle High School in
Livingston Parish.
WHEREAS, graduating from high school is an important milestone in a student's life
that signifies success in academics and the achievement of one's goals; and
WHEREAS, graduating from high school is also one of the most important indicators
of future success in life, including employment prospects, income potential, and overall
health; and
WHEREAS, Alexander David Townley Aucoin is set to graduate as a Southeastern
Scholar with a 4.1 GPA, an ACT score of 32, and a PSAT score of 1230, from Doyle High
School in May 2025, and it is appropriate to recognize him for all of his accomplishments
throughout his high school career; and
WHEREAS, beyond his academic achievements, Alexander has been a leader in both
his school and community; and
WHEREAS, during his time at Doyle High School, Alexander has been a member
of the concert band, the jazz band, and the BETA Club; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his extracurricular activities, and his duties at Doyle High
School, Alexander has worked diligently to prepare himself for college and plans to attend
Louisiana State University and study environmental engineering or environmental sciences;
and
WHEREAS, Alexander David Townley Aucoin exemplifies the very best of students
in the Class of 2025 and his future holds incredible promise; and

WHEREAS, through his academic achievements and his community involvement,
Alexander has formed a solid foundation upon which his future successes can be built, and
it is only fitting to acknowledge the accomplishment of Alexander David Townley Aucoin
upon being selected "Student of the Year" at Doyle High School in Livingston Parish.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend and congratulate Alexander David Townley Aucoin on being selected
the 2024-2025 "Student of the Year" at Doyle High School in Livingston Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Alexander David Townley Aucoin.
