SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 21

A RESOLUTION
To commend and congratulate Michael J. Kober on being selected the 2024-2025 "Student
of the Year", as a graduating senior, at Albany High School in Livingston Parish.
WHEREAS, graduating from high school is an important milestone in a student's life
that signifies success in academics and the achievement of one's goals; and
WHEREAS, graduating from high school is also one of the most important indicators
of future success in life, including employment prospects, income potential, and overall
health; and
WHEREAS, Michael J. Kober is set to graduate with an ACT score of 35 and as the
recipient of the College Board National Rural Area and Small-Town Recognition Award and
the National First-Generation Recognition Award from Albany High School in May 2025,
and it is appropriate to recognize him for all of his accomplishments throughout his high
school career; and
WHEREAS, beyond his academic achievements, Michael has been a leader in both
his school and community; and
WHEREAS, during his time at Albany High School, Michael has been a member of
the marching band for four years and serves as the Drum Major this year; and
WHEREAS, he is also founder of the inaugural chapter of the Albany High School
Table Top Games Social Club; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his extracurricular activities, and his duties at Albany
High School, Michael has worked diligently to prepare himself for college and plans to have
a career in medicine; and
WHEREAS, Michael J. Kober exemplifies the very best of students in the Class of
2025 and his future holds incredible promise; and
WHEREAS, through his academic achievements and his community involvement,
Michael has formed a solid foundation upon which his future successes can be built, and it
is only fitting to acknowledge the accomplishment of Michael J. Kober upon being selected
"Student of the Year" at Albany High School in Livingston Parish.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend and congratulate Michael J. Kober on being selected the 2024-2025
"Student of the Year" at Albany High School in Livingston Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Michael J. Kober.
