Extends deep and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Danielle Joy Raines on the occasion of her passing. 1 A RESOLUTION 2 To express the sincere and heartfelt condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of 3 Louisiana to the family, friends and loved ones of Danielle Joy Raines upon her 4 passing. 5 WHEREAS, Danielle Joy Raines was born on June 28, 1984, to Pamela Joy Mosley 6 Raines Allison and the late Don Michael Raines Sr. and gained her wings on April 9, 2025, 7 at the age of forty; and 8 WHEREAS, Danielle was a proud graduate of O. Perry Walker Senior High School, 9 Class of 2002; she pursued higher education at Herzing University New Orleans and earned 10 her Certified Pharmacy Technician degree from Crescent City College; and 11 WHEREAS, Danielle was a dedicated professional who served as a supervisor at the 12 United Parcel Service (UPS) New Orleans East location, where she was known for her 13 leadership, commitment, and positive spirit; and 14 WHEREAS, Danielle was baptized at Olive Branch Baptist Church in 1994, by Rev. 15 Dr. Reginald Nicholas Sr. and was a faithful participant in church ministries, including the 16 Youth Choir, Sunday School, Bible Training Union, and Vacation Bible School, earning 17 numerous accolades for her excellence in Bible drills; and 18 WHEREAS, Danielle was a devoted and loving mother to her two beloved children, Page 1 of 2 SR NO. 25 SLS 25RS-523 ORIGINAL 1 Jamir Isaiah Brooks and Kalani Joy Hadley, and her role as a mother brought her immense 2 pride and joy; and 3 WHEREAS, known affectionately as "Dannie Do" and "Sassy", Danielle had a 4 vibrant personality and was a light in every space she entered; she was a fashionista, a 5 trusted friend, an exceptional sister, and the heart of her family, always uplifting those 6 around her with her radiant spirit and infectious smile; and 7 WHEREAS, Danielle is survived by a devoted family and an extended circle of 8 relatives and friends who cherished her dearly, including her children, her mother Pamela, 9 her brother Don Michael Raines Jr., her loving partner Irvin Hadley III, her cherished friend 10 Jada Cotright, her grandmothers, godparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many more whose 11 lives she touched profoundly; and 12 WHEREAS, although her earthly journey has come to an end, the legacy of Danielle 13 Joy Raines will continue to live on through the love she shared, the joy she brought, and the 14 lives she inspired. 15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana 16 does hereby honor and commemorate the life and memory of Danielle Joy Raines and 17 sincerest condolences are hereby extended to her family, friends, and loved ones in their time 18 of bereavement.
