SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 7

COMMENDATIONS. Commends Mason Daniel Hill on being selected "Student of the
Year" at French Settlement High School in Livingston Parish.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend and congratulate Mason Daniel Hill on being selected the 2024-2025 "Student
3 of the Year", as a graduating senior, at French Settlement High School in Livingston
4 Parish.
5 WHEREAS, graduating from high school is an important milestone in a student's life
6 that signifies success in academics and the achievement of one's goals; and
7 WHEREAS, graduating from high school is also one of the most important indicators
8 of future success in life, including employment prospects, income potential, and overall
9 health; and
10 WHEREAS, Mason Daniel Hill is set to graduate from French Settlement High
11 School in May 2025, and it is appropriate to recognize him for all of his accomplishments
12 throughout his high school career; and
13 WHEREAS, beyond his academic achievements, Mason has been a leader in both
14 his school and community; and
15 WHEREAS, during his time at French Settlement High School, Mason was a
16 member of the Beta Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and
17 WHEREAS, he was also a member of the French Settlement baseball and basketball
18 teams; and

1 WHEREAS, in addition to his extracurricular activities, and his duties at French
2 Settlement High School, Mason has worked diligently to prepare himself for college and
3 plans to play collegiate baseball while pursuing a career in electrical engineering; and
4 WHEREAS, Mason Daniel Hill exemplifies the very best of students in the Class of
5 2025 and his future holds incredible promise; and
6 WHEREAS, through his academic achievements and his community involvement,
7 Mason has formed a solid foundation upon which his future successes can be built, and it is
8 only fitting to acknowledge the accomplishment of Mason Daniel Hill upon being selected
9 "Student of the Year" at French Settlement High School in Livingston Parish.
10 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
11 does hereby commend and congratulate Mason Daniel Hill on being selected the 2024-2025
12 "Student of the Year" at French Settlement High School in Livingston Parish.
13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
14 Mason Daniel Hill.
