Provides that in the design, construction, maintenance, or renovation of any transit facility, transportation facility, or equipment of the metropolitan transportation authority, work shall take place over a continuous period of time until such point at which the project has been completed.
Provides that it shall be a defense to any prosecution for a violation of a bus lane restriction pursuant to a bus rapid transit program when an employee of the metropolitan transportation authority is performing authorized duties on behalf of such authority and is operating an authorized employer motor vehicle in the bus lane at the time of the violation and conducting lawful business or providing service to an official metropolitan transportation authority vehicle or personnel while in a bus lane.

Provides that in the siting of new electric transmission facilities, including high-voltage transmission lines, the following corridors shall be utilized in the following order of priority in accordance with feasibility of economic and engineering considerations, reliability of the electric system and the protection of the environment: existing utility corridors; highway (interstate, freeway and state trunk) and railroad corridors; recreational trails, to the extent that the facilities may be constructed below ground and that the facilities do not significantly impact environmentally sensitive areas; and new corridors; provides that the commissioner of transportation shall engage in coordination activities with a utility or transmission line developer to review requested highway corridors for possible permitted locations of transmission lines.
Authorizes the town of Yorktown, Westchester county, shall have the ability to install and operate photo speed violation monitoring systems within construction or maintenance work areas that fall within the border or jurisdiction of such municipality; makes related provisions.
Relates to providing notice to school districts and nonpublic schools located in New York city of certain construction projects; requires the New York city department of transportation to provide written notice to such school districts and nonpublic schools of certain construction projects undertaken within three hundred feet of a building of such school districts or nonpublic schools.
Prohibits the disclosure of individualized fare payment data by the metropolitan commuter transportation authority and the New York city transit authority for the purpose of maintaining customer privacy; provides certain exceptions when such data can be disclosed.
