SB5488 is a bill proposed in the United States Congress aimed at procuring a statue of Benjamin Franklin for placement in the United States Capitol. The legislation outlines the responsibilities of the Joint Committee of Congress on the Library regarding the acquisition and installation of the statue. Specifically, it mandates that the Joint Committee secure a statue of Franklin within two years and ensure its placement in a publicly accessible location within the Capitol by the end of December 2026.
