An Act relative to employment protections for medical marijuana patients.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Subsection (g) of Section 2 of Chapter 94G of the General Laws, as so 
2appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the 
3following sentence:-
4 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, nothing in this chapter shall 
5be construed to allow a person to discharge or cause to be discharged or to otherwise discipline 
6or in any manner discriminate against any employee or candidate for employment for the reason 
7that said employee or candidate for employment is a user of medical marijuana outside of the 
8workplace.
