An Act to promote continuity of health coverage for children.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding any other law, residents of the commonwealth under 
2age 19 who are eligible for MassHealth shall qualify for at least 12 months of continuous 
3eligibility as required by Sections 1902(e)(12) and 2107(e)(1) of the Social Security Act, as 
4amended by Section 5112 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, Pub. L. 117–328. 
5 (b) The executive office of health and human services shall maximize federal financial 
6participation for the coverage and benefits under this section; provided, however, that coverage 
7and benefits provided under this section shall not be contingent upon the availability of federal 
8financial participation.
