An Act creating a scholarship fund to increase the number of medical providers who are
knowledgeable in autism.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, there is
2hereby established a scholarship fund to increase the number of medical providers who are
3knowledgeable in autism. Individuals eligible for applying for the scholarship are students
4attending the university of Massachusetts medical school, state run/public nursing schools, and
5schools of state run/public dentistry schools who are either studying issues related to autism
6and/or plan to work with individuals with autism upon graduation. Three scholarships total will
7be awarded annually: one to a student attending the university of Massachusetts medical school,
8one attending a state run/public nursing program, and one attending a state run/public dentistry
9school.
