An Act to prevent unwanted opioid prescriptions.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Subsection (e) of section 18B of chapter 94C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 
22020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following 2 sentences:-
3 A practitioner who knowingly fails to comply with a person’s voluntary non-opiate 
4directive form shall be subject to a civil penalty of not more than $100,000. The attorney general 
5may enforce the provisions of this subsection.
