An Act relative to acceptance of the Massachusetts Community Preservation Act.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 16 of chapter 44B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 
2Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 4, the words “in the same manner 
3and”.
4 SECTION 2. Said section 16 of said chapter 44B, as so appearing, is hereby further 
5amended by striking out, in lines 10 and 11, the words “in the same manner as they were 
6accepted by such city or town” and inserting in place 	thereof the following words:- by 
7acceptance of the voters of such city or town at the next regular municipal or state election.
8 SECTION 3. Subsection (b) of said section 16 of said chapter 44B is hereby amended by 
9adding the following sentence:- At least once every 10 years, beginning 10 years after the date 
10on which sections 3 to 7, inclusive, have been accepted in a city or town, a question seeking 
11revocation of such city or town’s acceptance of sections 3 to 7, inclusive, shall be presented for  2 of 2
12acceptance of the voters of such city or town at the next regular municipal or state election 
13within such 10 years.
