An Act to facilitate the issuance of local permits for building energy efficiency and
decarbonization.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 57, of Chapter 40, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby
2amended by adding in subsection (d), in line 79, after the word “forty” the following new
3clause:-
4 “building permits and other local permits, licenses, and approvals necessary to implement
5energy efficiency and building decarbonization measures authorized by certified efficiency plans
6prepared and approved pursuant to section 21 of chapter 25.”
