An Act to promote equity on superannuation .
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION: Paragraph (ii) of subdivision 4 of section 5 of Chapter 32 is hereby amended
2by adding after the word “subdivision” in the second sentence the following: ; provided however
3that the 20 year requirement shall not apply to any members of the teachers’ retirement system or
4members of the Boston Retirement system on leave under section 28K of Chapter 32 who are
5enrolled in the alternative superannuation retirement program.
