An Act relative to the maximum age requirement for police officers for the city of Methuen.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 58 of chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other 
2general or special law to the contrary, no person shall be ineligible for certification for original 
3appointment to the position of police officer in the city of Methuen due to the person’s age on the 
4final date for filing an application for the examination used to establish the eligible list from 
5which the certification is to be made. 
6 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
