Khan relative to authorizing the granting of certain creditable service to Robin Blatt, a member 
of the state employees' retirement system. Public Service.

An Act granting creditable service to Robin Blatt, a member of the state employees' retirement 
system.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Notwithstanding sections 3 or 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or 
2special law to the contrary, and in order to promote the public good, the state retirement board 
3shall credit Robin Blatt, an employee of the department of public health a member of the state 
4employees' retirement system, with 2 years of creditable service for service Robin Blatt rendered 
5to the department from April 4, 1983 to June 22, 1985 for the purpose of determining Robin 
6Blatt’s superannuation retirement allowance under chapter 32 of the General Laws. Before the 
7date that any retirement allowance becomes effective in the case of Robin Blatt, Robin Blatt shall 
8pay into the annuity savings fund of the state employees’ retirement system, in 1 sum or 
9installments, upon such terms and conditions as the state employees’ retirement system may 
10prescribe, an amount equal to that which would have been withheld as regular deductions from 
11Robin Blatt’s regular compensation for such previous service, as defined in section 1 of said  2 of 2
12chapter 32. Such payment shall not be subject to any interest payment. This act shall not affect 
13any other retirement benefits that Robin Blatt may otherwise be entitled to.
