An Act authorizing the State Retirement Board to grant creditable service to James Wright.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, and in order to promote the 
2public good, the State Board of Retirement shall credit James Wright, an employee of the Town 
3of Sharon, with full-time creditable service for his employment service already so rendered from 
4February 1, 1990 to February 28, 1992 to the 104th Fighter Wing Fire Department for the 
5purpose of determining a retirement allowance under Chapter 32 of the General Laws. James 
6Wright must satisfy all other applicable eligibility requirements for a retirement allowance as set 
7forth in Chapter 32 of the General Laws, and under the rules and regulations of the State Board 
8of Retirement.
9 Eligibility for this creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment by James Wright 
10to the Massachusetts State Retirement System of an amount equal to the retirement contributions  2 of 2
11that would have been deducted under said Chapter 32 if he had received regular compensation 
12during this entire period at a full-time annual rate based on the annual rate of regular 
13compensation that he was receiving, plus buy back interest thereon. Such repayment shall be 
14made in one lump sum or in installments under terms and conditions as the State Retirement 
15Board shall prescribe. Any such payments must be completed prior to the effective date of any 
16retirement allowance requested.
