An Act relative to creditable service for Stephen Gerald Roche.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the state retirement board 
2shall credit Stephen Gerald Roche with creditable service for the period of June 15, 1978 to April 
31, 1979, inclusive, for the purpose of determining his superannuation retirement allowance under 
4paragraph (a) of subdivision (2) of section 5 of chapter 32 of the General Laws. Before the date 
5that any retirement allowance becomes effective for Stephen Gerald Roche, he shall pay into the 
6annuity savings fund of the state retirement system in 1 sum or installments, upon such terms and 
7conditions as the board may prescribe, an amount equal to that which would have been withheld 
8as regular deductions from his regular compensation for such previous service, plus interest.
