An Act relative to vehicle warranty fulfillment.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 16 of chapter 90D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018
2Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-
3 (c) If an automobile dealer or private individual buys a vehicle and holds it for resale,
4said dealer or individual shall honor any optional pre-paid manufacturers vehicle warranty plan
5corresponding to the automobile’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) upon resale. Said
6warranty shall remain valid until the warranty timing and/or mileage agreement is fulfilled.
