An Act relative to certified translations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Chapter 221C of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-
2 Section 8. Any foreign language document offered by a party in a proceeding shall be 
3accompanied by an English language translation and a certification signed by the translator that 
4shall be printed legibly or typed. Such certification shall include a statement that the translator is 
5competent to translate the document, and that the translation is true and accurate translation to 
6the best of the translator's abilities.
