An Act exempting Joanne Ricardelli from the maximum age requirements for firefighters in the
town of Wilmington.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or
2special law regulating the maximum age of applicants for appointment as firefighter to the
3contrary, Joanne Ricardelli, a resident of the town of Wilmington, shall be eligible to have her
4name certified for original appointment to the position of firefighter in the town of Wilmington,
5notwithstanding her having exceeded the maximum age before taking the civil service
6examination in connection with that appointment. Joanne Ricardelli shall be eligible for
7appointment to the position of firefighter in the town of Wilmington if she meets all other
8requirements for certification and appointment to this position. This section shall apply to the
92022 and 2023 civil service firefighter examinations.
10 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
