Charlemont be authorized to continue the employment of fire department member Dennis

An Act authorizing the town of Charlemont to continue the employment of fire department 
member Dennis Annear.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Dennis Annear 
2a member of the Charlemont Fire Department, may continue to serve in their position until they 
3reach 68 years of age, the date of their retirement or the date they are removed or suspended 
4from office in accordance with applicable laws, rules or regulations, whichever occurs first; 
5provided, however, that they remain physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of 
6the position. If requested, Dennis Annear shall, at the expense of the Town of Charlemont, be 
7examined by an impartial physician designated by the Town of Charlemont to determine such 
8capability. No deductions shall be made from the regular compensation of Dennis Annear 
9pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to enactment. 
10 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
