Gordon (by vote of the town) that the town of Burlington be authorized to appoint Ryan DeCoste as a firefighter in said town, notwithstanding the maximum age requirement. Public Service. [Local Approval Received.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act directing the town of Burlington Fire Department to waive the maximum age requirement for firefighter for Ryan DeCoste. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, including the 2provisions of Section 58A of Chapter 31 of the General Laws, the Town of Burlington Fire 3Department shall waive the maximum age requirement for original appointment of firefighters 4for Ryan DeCoste. If Ryan DeCoste meets all other requirements set forth by the Burlington Fire 5Department, he shall be eligible to have his name certified for original appointment to the 6position of firefighter. 7 Section 2. The provisions of this act shall take effect immediately upon passage.
