Fattman that the Worcester County Retirement Board be authorized to credit Curtis Meskus, a member of the Worcester regional retirement system, with creditable service for certain active duty service. Public Service. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act directing the Worcester County Retirement Board to credit Curtis Meskus. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or 2special law to the contrary, the Worcester regional retirement board shall credit Curtis Meskus, a 3member of the Worcester regional retirement system, with creditable service for 4 years of active 4duty service with the United States Air Force, pursuant to paragraph (h) of subdivision (1) of 5section 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, for the purpose of determining his superannuation 6retirement allowance. The retirement system shall confirm exact dates of Curtis Meskus’ military 7service. 8 SECTION 2. Eligibility for this creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment by 9Curtis Meskus to the Worcester regional retirement system, in an amount equal to that which 10would have been withheld as regular deductions from his regular compensation for such previous 11service, in 1 lump sum or installments, as the Worcester regional retirement board shall 12proscribe. 2 of 2 13 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
