The committee on Education, to whom were referred the joint petition 
(accompanied by bill, House, No. 609) of Thomas P. Walsh, Joan B. 
Lovely and James K. Hawkins relative to virtual school eligibility for 
school choice students; and the petition (accompanied by bill, House No. 
4119) of Jeffrey N. Roy that the Executive Office of Education establish 
an adult workforce diploma program to assist certain adults in obtaining 
high school diplomas and developing employability and career technical 
skills, reports recommending that the accompanying order (House, No. 
4586) ought to be adopted.

1 Ordered, That the committee on Education be authorized to sit during a recess of the 
2General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents numbered 609 and 4119, 
3relative to college and career readiness, technology and data.
4 Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study 
5and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such 
6recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives 
7on or before December 31, 2024.
