An Act authorizing the town of Tyngsborough to grant additional licenses for the sale of all 
alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises.

By Representative Garry of Dracut and Senator Kennedy, a joint petition (accompanied by bill, 
House, No. 4907) of Colleen M. Garry and Edward J. Kennedy (by vote of the town) that the 
town of Tyngsborough be authorized to grant up to three additional licenses for the sale of all 
alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises of a restaurant in said town. Consumer 
Protection and Professional Licensure. [Local Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the town of Tyngsborough to grant additional licenses for the sale of all 
alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding the maximum number of licenses authorized to be 
2granted under section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws or any other general or special law 
3to the contrary, the licensing authority of the town of Tyngsborough may grant up to 3 additional 
4licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises of a restaurant, under 
5section 12 of said chapter 138, to operators and locations to be determined by the licensing 
6authority. The licenses shall be subject to all of said chapter 138, except section 17 and section 
717A.
8 (b) If the licenses granted under this section are cancelled, revoked or no longer in use, 
9they shall be returned physically, with all of the legal rights, privileges and restrictions pertaining 
10thereto, to the licensing authority which may then grant the licenses to new applicants under the 
11same conditions as specified in this act. 2 of 2
12 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
