An Act prohibiting profiling of motorcyclists and motorcycle-only checkpoints.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. No law enforcement officer or agency shall establish or conduct 
2“motorcycle-only” checkpoints.
3 (1) The criminal justice training commission shall ensure that issues related to motorcycle 
4profiling are addressed in basic law enforcement training and offered to in-service law 
5enforcement officers in conjunction with existing training regarding profiling.
6 (2) Local law enforcement agencies shall add a statement condemning motorcycle 
7profiling to existing policies regarding profiling.
8 (3) For the purposes of this section, "motorcyclist profiling" means the illegal use of the 
9fact that a person rides a motorcycle or wears motorcycle-related paraphernalia as a factor in  2 of 2
10deciding to stop and question, take enforcement action, arrest, or search a person or vehicle with 
11or without an otherwise legal basis under the United States Constitution or Massachusetts 
12Constitution.
13 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
