An Act relative to the active service buy-back program for firefighters and police officers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Clause (h) of subsection 1 of section 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, 
2as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after “system;”, in line 
3156, the following words:- “, provided further that a veteran who has creditable service as a fire 
4fighter or police officer may purchase creditable service for active services in the armed forces of 
5the United States at the same rate as a fire fighter or police officer pursuant to this section;"
