O'Connor that provisions be made for an investigation and study by a special commission (including members of the General Court) relative to cost of living increases for state police retirees. Public Service. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ Resolve authorizing the study of cost of living increases for state police retirees. 1 Resolved, Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, there shall be a 2special commission to examine the feasibility of increases to Cost of Living Adjustments for 3retirees of the Massachusetts State Police. The commission shall consist of the chairs of the joint 4committee on public service, the executive director of the state retirement board, a member to be 5appointed by the chair of the MA public employee retirement administration commission and the 6president of MA retirees. 7 Said commission shall report to the house and senate committees on ways and means the 8results of its investigation recommendations together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry 9said recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the clerks of the house of 10representatives and senate on or before January 1, 2024.
