[SIMILAR MATTER FILED IN PREVIOUS SESSION SEE SENATE, NO. 1798 OF 2021-2022.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act exempting electric vehicle chargers from the sales tax. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Section 6 of chapter 64H of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby 2amended by adding the following subsection:- 3 (yy) Sales of an electric vehicle charging station, as defined in section 16 of chapter 25A, 4or individual replacement components of an electric vehicle charging station. 5 SECTION 2. Subsection (yy) of said section 6 of said chapter 64H is hereby repealed. 6 SECTION 3. Section 2 of this act shall take effect on January 1, 2030.
