[SIMILAR MATTER FILED IN PREVIOUS SESSION SEE SENATE, NO. 233 OF 2021-2022.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act relative to the automatic renewal of professional licenses. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any license renewal application set forth in Chapter 112 of 2the general laws, the division of professional licensure shall develop and implement an automatic 3license renewal system for the professional licenses set forth in this chapter. The automatic 4license renewal system shall be designed to notify licensed professionals of an upcoming license 5expiration date and offer the ability to automatically renew the license online, wherever possible. 6 SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
