legislation relative to flying the flag of the Commonwealth at half-staff annually to honor the 
victims of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. State Administration and Regulatory 
Oversight.

An Act relative to the flying of the flag of the Commonwealth at half staff on state buildings and 
installations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 6A of chapter 2 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is 
2hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
3 (h) On September 11 of each year the flag of the Commonwealth shall be flown at half-
4staff until sunset in honor of those brave Americans who perished in the terrorist attack upon our 
5country on September 11, 2001.
