vote of the town) for legislation to authorize the town of Tewksbury to convert a certain parcel of 
land to general recreational purposes. State Administration and Regulatory Oversight. [Local

An Act authorizing the town of Tewksbury to convert a certain parcel of land to general 
recreational purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 314 of the Acts of 1993 is hereby amended by striking 
2out the words “the expansion of the town of Tewksbury baseball facilities” and inserting in place 
3thereof the following:- “general recreational purposes, including, but not limited to, the town of 
4Tewksbury baseball facilities and other active and passive recreational activities”.
5 SECTION 2. Notwithstanding sections 32 to 37, inclusive, of chapter 7C of the General 
6Laws or any other general 	or special law to the contrary, the commissioner of capital asset 
7management and maintenance may amend the restriction described in a deed recorded in the 
8Middlesex north registry of deeds in book 10054, page 109 to allow the parcel of land described 
9therein to be used for general recreational purposes.
10 SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of 
11Tewksbury shall be responsible for all costs and expenses of any transaction authorized by this  2 of 2
12act as determined by the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance including, 
13but not limited to, the costs of any recording fees or deed preparation.
14 SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
