the town) for legislation to authorize the town of Pembroke to issue one additional liquor license 
to South Shore Market and Deli. Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure. [Local 
Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the town of Pembroke to issue one additional liquor license to South Shore 
Market and Deli.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Notwithstanding section 17 of Chapter 138 of the General Laws or any other general or 
2special rule or regulation to the contrary, the licensing authority of the Town of Pembroke may 
3grant one (1) additional license for the retail of alcohol beverages under section 15 of said 
4Chapter 138 to be exercised at and located at South Shore Market and Deli, 256 Church Street 
5(Parcel ID: G15-38). A license granted under this section shall be subjected to all of said Chapter 
6138 except said section 17. 
7 Once issued, the licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of the license issued 
8under subsection (a) to any other locations, but it may grant the license to a new applicant at the 
9same location if the applicant files with the authority a letter from the Department of Revenue 
10and a letter from the Department of Unemployment Assistance indicating the license is in good  2 of 2
11standing with those departments and that all applicable taxes, fees, and contributions have been 
12paid. 
13 If the license granted under this section is cancelled, revoked, or no longer in use, it shall 
14be returned physically, with all of the legal rights, privileges, and restrictions pertaining thereto, 
15to the licensing authority, which may then grant the license to a new applicant at the same or 
16different location.
