An Act relative to felony threshold for multiple theft offenses.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1: Section 30 of chapter 266 of the General Laws, as amended by Chapter 69 
2of the Acts of 2018, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the first paragraph the 
3following:-
4 For purpose of this section, multiple violations of either this section or section 30A of this 
5chapter occurring within a one hundred eighty day period may be aggregated into a single count 
6with the aggregated value of the property stolen used to determine whether the violation is a 
7misdemeanor or felony as provided herein. 2 of 2
8 SECTION 2: Section 37B of chapter 266 of the General Laws, as amended by Chapter 69 
9of the Acts of 2018, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the first paragraph the 
10following:-
11 A series of two or more violations of this section occurring within a one hundred and 
12eighty day period may be aggregated into a single count with the aggregated value of money, 
13goods, or services obtained used to determine whether the violation is a misdemeanor or felony 
14as provided herein.
15 SECTION 3: Section 37C of chapter 266 of the General Laws, as amended by Chapter 69 
16of the Acts of 2018, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the first paragraph the 
17following:-
18 A series of two or more violations of this section occurring within a one hundred and 
19eighty day period may be aggregated into a single count with the aggregated value of money, 
20goods, or services obtained used to determine whether the violation is a misdemeanor or felony 
21as provided herein.
22 SECTION 4: Section 60 of chapter 266 of the General Laws, as amended by Chapter 69 
23of the Acts of 2018, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the first paragraph the 
24following:-
25 A series of two or more violations of this section occurring within a one hundred and 
26eighty day period may be aggregated into a single count with the aggregated value of property 
27obtained used to determine whether the violation is a misdemeanor or felony as provided herein.
