An Act to protect hospital workers from being deprived of their wages.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 148 of chapter 149 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out the
2fifth paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
3 This section shall not apply to an employee of a co-operative association if he is a
4shareholder therein, unless he requests such association to pay him weekly, nor to casual
5employees as hereinbefore defined employed by the commonwealth or by any county, city or
6town.
