The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act to allow non-profits to purchase alcohol from retail package stores for charitable events. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 2official edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “corporation”, in line 15, the 3following words:- ;provided further, that the provisions of this chapter shall not apply to charities 4and non-profits that obtain approval from the local licensing authority to purchase and distribute 5certain limited quantities of alcohol from retail package stores for the purpose of hosting 6fundraisers.
