Payano for legislation to enable trained dental hygienists to administer dermal fillers and botox. Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court (2025-2026) _______________ An Act enabling trained dental hygienists to administer dermal fillers and botox. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 The second paragraph of section 51 of chapter 112 of the General Laws is hereby 2amended by adding the following sentences:- A dental hygienist, under the direct supervision of 3a supervising dentist, may administer botulinum toxins and or dermal fillers, provided they have 4received the same prescribed additional training in the administration of botulinum toxins and or 5dermal fillers as that of a dentist and approved by the board. A dental hygienist shall not 6administer botulinum toxins and or dermal fillers independently of a dentist.
