BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 2 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 3 Article – Tax – Property 4 6–305. 5 (k) (1) On or before [January 31] OCTOBER 31 each year, the governing body 6 of Prince George’s County shall complete a report that includes: 7 (i) the amount of the tax setoff granted to each municipal 8 corporation in the current fiscal year; 9 (ii) in the form provided by each municipal corporation, a detailed 10 description of the scope and nature of the individual services or programs provided by each 11 municipal corporation instead of similar services or programs provided by the county; and 12 (iii) a detailed description of the methodology used by the county to 13 determine the amount of the tax setoffs, including any formulas. 14 (2) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the report required under 15 this subsection shall be: 16 (i) available to municipal corporations in Prince George’s County on 17 request; and 18 (ii) submitted to the Prince George’s County House Delegation and 19 the Prince George’s County Senators. 20 Article 17 – Prince George’s County 21 10–192.01. 22 (h) The County Executive of Prince George’s County shall prepare an annual 23 report on the school facilities surcharge on or before [August 31] OCTOBER 31 of each year 24 for the County Council of Prince George’s County, the Prince George’s County Senate 25 Delegation, and the Prince George’s County House Delegation, to include: 26 (1) A detailed description of how fees were expended; and 27 (2) The amount of fees collected. 28 10–192.11. 29 (g) The County Executive of Prince George’s County shall prepare an annual 30 HOUSE BILL 394 3 report on the public safety and behavioral health surcharge on or before [March 1] 1 OCTOBER 31 of each year for the County Council of Prince George’s County, the Prince 2 George’s County Senate Delegation, and the Prince George’s County House Delegation, to 3 include: 4 (1) A detailed description of how the fees were expended; and 5 (2) The amount of fees collected. 6 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 7 1, 2022. 8
