A BILL ENTITLED 
 
AN ACT concerning 1 
 
Public Schools – Air Quality Testing – Posting Online 2 
 
FOR the purpose of requiring each county board of education to retain the services of a 3 
qualified indoor air quality investigator to conduct any indoor air quality tests the 4 
board chooses to have conducted in a public school in the county; requiring a county 5 
board and the State Department of Education, on receipt of the results of an indoor 6 
air quality test, to post the results on its website in a certain manner; and generally 7 
relating to indoor air quality testing in public schools. 8

 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 14 
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 15

 (A) EACH COUNTY BOARD SHALL RETAIN THE SERVICES OF A QUALIFIED 18 
INDOOR AIR QUALITY INVESTIGATOR TO COND UCT ANY INDOOR AIR Q UALITY 19 
TESTING THE BOARD CHOOSE S TO HAVE CONDUCTED IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL I N THE 20 
COUNTY. 21 
 
 (B) (1) ON RECEIPT OF THE RES ULTS OF AN INDOOR AIR QUAL ITY TEST, 22  2 	HOUSE BILL 665  
 
 
A COUNTY BOARD SHALL : 1 
 
 (I) POST THE RESULTS ON ITS WEBSITE; AND 2 
 
 (II) SUBMIT THE RESULTS TO THE DEPARTMENT . 3 
 
 (2) ON RECEIPT OF THE RES ULTS OF AN INDOOR AI R QUALITY TEST, 4 
THE DEPARTMENT SHALL POST THE RESULTS ON ITS WEBSITE. 5 
 
 (3) THE RESULTS POSTED UNDER PARAGRAPH S (1)(I) AND (2) OF 6 
THIS SUBSECTION SHAL L BE:  7 
 
 (I) WRITTEN IN A MANNER T HAT IS CLEAR AND EASY FOR THE 8 
PUBLIC TO UNDERSTAND ; AND 9 
 
 (II) POSTED IN A CONSPICUO US LOCATION THAT IS EASY FOR 10 
THE PUBLIC TO FIND AND ACCESS . 11 
 
 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 12 
1, 2022. 13
