BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 22 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 23 Article – Public Utilities 24 1–101. 25 2 SENATE BILL 257 (a) In this division the following words have the meanings indicated. 1 (d) “Commission” means the Public Service Commission. 2 7–306. 3 (i) On or before [September] NOVEMBER 1 of each year, the Commission shall 4 report to the General Assembly, in accordance with § 2–1257 of the State Government 5 Article, on the status of the net metering program under this section, including: 6 (1) the amount of capacity of electric generating facilities owned and 7 operated by eligible customer–generators in the State by type of energy resource; 8 (2) based on the need to encourage a diversification of the State’s energy 9 resource mix to ensure reliability, whether the rated generating capacity limit in subsection 10 (d) of this section should be altered; and 11 (3) other pertinent information. 12 7–510.1. 13 [(f) On or before December 31 of each year, the Commission shall report, in 14 accordance with § 2–1257 of the State Government Article, to the General Assembly on the 15 status and success of the Commission’s efforts to educate customers about customer choice 16 under this section.] 17 SECTION 2.
