BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 1 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 2 Article – Public Utilities 3 1–101. 4 (a) In this division the following words have the meanings indicated. 5 (d) “Commission” means the Public Service Commission. 6 7–306. 7 (i) On or before [September] NOVEMBER 1 of each year, the Commission shall 8 report to the General Assembly, in accordance with § 2–1257 of the State Government 9 Article, on the status of the net metering program under this section, including: 10 (1) the amount of capacity of electric generating facilities owned and 11 operated by eligible customer–generators in the State by type of energy resource; 12 (2) based on the need to encourage a diversification of the State’s energy 13 resource mix to ensure reliability, whether the rated generating capacity limit in subsection 14 (d) of this section should be altered; and 15 (3) other pertinent information. 16 7–510.1. 17 [(f) On or before December 31 of each year, the Commission shall report, in 18 accordance with § 2–1257 of the State Government Article, to the General Assembly on the 19 status and success of the Commission’s efforts to educate customers about customer choice 20 under this section.] 21 SECTION 2.
