BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 11 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 12 Article – Criminal Law 13 9–306. 14 (a) A person may not, by threat, force, or corrupt means, obstruct, impede, or try 15 to obstruct or impede: 16 (1) the administration of justice in a court of the State; OR 17 (2) AN OFFICIAL PROCEEDI NG OF THE EXECUTIVE OR LEGISLATIVE 18 BRANCH. 19 (b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction 20 is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both. 21 2 SENATE BILL 790 SECTION 2.
