AN ACT concerning 1 
 
City of Annapolis – Alcoholic Beverages – Art Establishment 2 
 
FOR the purpose of establishing an art establishment beer and wine license in the City of 3 
Annapolis; authorizing the Board of License Commissioners to issue the license to 4 
sell or serve beer and wine for on–premises consumption to a nonprofit organization 5 
engaged in certain activities; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages in the City 6 
of Annapolis.  7

 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 24

be renumbered to be Section(s) 10–1002. 26

 (A) THERE IS AN ART ESTAB LISHMENT BEER AND WI NE LICENSE. 7 
 
 (B) (1) THE BOARD MAY ISSUE THE L ICENSE TO A NONPROFI T 8 
ORGANIZATION ENGAGED IN: 9 
 
 (I) THE DISPLAY, SALE, OR DEMONSTRATION OF ART BY AN 10 
INDIVIDUAL ARTIST OR A GROUP OF ARTIS TS;  11 
 
 (II) THE INSTRUCTION OF P ARTICIPATING CLIENTS IN 12 
CREATING ART ; OR 13 
 
 (III) LIVE PERFORMANCES , INCLUDING MUSICAL AC TS OR 14 
THEATER PERFORMANCES . 15 
 
 (2) THE BOARD MAY NOT ISSUE T HE LICENSE TO AN ORG ANIZATION 16 
THAT DISPLAYS AND SE LLS COMMERCIALLY PRE PARED OR MASS –PRODUCED 17 
ARTISTIC PRODUCTS . 18 
 
 (C) THE LICENSE AUTHORIZE S THE HOLDER TO SELL OR SERVE BEER AND 19 
WINE AT RETAIL FOR O N–PREMISES CONSUMPTION . 20 
 
 (D) THE LICENSE HOLDER MA Y SELL OR SERVE BEER AND WINE DURING 21 
THE HOURS AND DAYS S ET FOR BEER AND LIGH T WINE LICENSES UNDER § 10–2003 22 
OF THIS TITLE. 23 
 
 (E) THE LICENSE MAY NOT B E TRANSFERRED TO ANO THER LOCATION . 24 
 
 (F) THE ANNUAL LICENSE FE E IS $205. 25 
 
 SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 26 
1, 2023. 27
