BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 17 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 18 Article – Alcoholic Beverages 19 20–102. 20 This title applies only in Frederick County. 21 20–1004. 22 (a) There is a Class B–CC (conference center) beer, wine, and liquor license. 23 2 HOUSE BILL 939 (d) The license holder may sell beer, wine, and liquor[: 1 (1)] on Monday through [Saturday] SUNDAY, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the 2 following day[; and 3 (2) on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day]. 4 20–1007. 5 (a) There is a Class B–DT (dinner theater) beer, wine, and liquor license. 6 (d) A license holder may sell beer, wine, and liquor beginning 2 hours before a live 7 performance until the end of the performance[: 8 (1)] on Monday through [Saturday; and 5 (2) on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m] LICENSE HOLDER MAY S ELL 6 BEER, WINE, AND LIQUOR DURING TH E HOURS AND DAYS AS SET OUT FOR A CLASS 7 B BEER, WINE, AND LIQUOR LICENSE U NDER § 20–2005 OF THIS TITLE. 8 20–2002. 9 (a) (1) A holder of a Class A beer license may sell beer[: 10 (i)] on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following 11 day[; and 12 (ii) on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day]. 13 (2) (i) The Board may grant a special Sunday opening permit to the 14 license holder. 15 (ii) The permit authorizes the holder to sell beer for off–premises 16 consumption on Sunday from [10 a.m.] 6 A.M. to 2 a.m. the following day. 17 (iii) The annual permit fee is $100 in addition to the annual fee for 18 the license. 19 (iv) The permit is not considered a separate class of license and, if it 20 is granted, the privilege shall be incorporated into the license. 21 (b) [(1)] A holder of a Class B beer license may sell beer[: 22 (i)] on Monday through [Saturday] SUNDAY, for on– and 23 off–premises consumption, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day[; and 24 (ii) on Sunday: 25 1. subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, for 26 on–premises consumption: 27 A. from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; or 28 4 HOUSE BILL 939 B. for a specific event that the Board has approved, the hours 1 for the event that are set by the Board; and 2 2. for off–premises consumption, from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. the 3 following day. 4 (2) The license holder may not sell beer at a bar or counter on Sunday]. 5 (c) A holder of a Class C beer (on–sale) license may sell beer: 6 (1) on Monday through [Saturday] SUNDAY, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the 7 following day; and 8 (2) [on Sunday: 9 (i) from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; or 10 (ii)] for a specific event that the Board has approved, the hours for 11 the event that are set by the Board. 12 20–2004. 13 (a) (1) A holder of a Class A beer and wine license may sell beer and wine[: 14 (i)] on Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following 15 day[; and 4 [(ii)] (2) on Sunday: 5 [1.] (I) [subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection,] for 6 on–premises consumption: 7 [A.] 1. from [10 a.m.] 6 A.M. to 2 a.m. the following day; or 8 [B.] 2. for a specific event that the Board has approved, the 9 hours for the event that are set by the Board; and 10 [2.] (II) for off–premises consumption, from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. 11 the following day. 12 [(2) The license holder may not sell beer, wine, or liquor at a bar or counter 13 on Sunday.] 14 (c) A holder of a Class B beer, wine, and liquor license in the Ballenger (23rd) 15 election district may sell beer, wine, and liquor[: 16 (1)] on Monday through [Saturday] SUNDAY, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the 17 following day[; and 18 (2) on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day]. 19 (d) A holder of a Class C beer, wine, and liquor license may sell beer, wine, and 20 liquor for on– and off–premises consumption[: 21 (1)] on Monday through [Saturday] SUNDAY, from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the 22 following day[; and 23 (2) on Sunday: 24 (i) from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day; or 25 (ii) for a specific event that the Board has approved, the hours for 26 the event that are set by the Board]. 27 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 28 1, 2023. 29
