BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 17 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 18 Article – Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis 19 20–102. 20 This title applies only in Frederick County. 21 20–1013. 22 (a) There is a stadium license. 23 2 HOUSE BILL 742 (b) The Board may issue the license to the owner of a professional baseball team 1 franchise, regardless of whether the franchise is a partnership, corporation, or limited 2 liability company. 3 (c) The license authorizes the license holder, at the stadium in which the baseball 4 team plays its home games, to sell beer [and], wine, AND LIQUOR: 5 (1) in plastic or paper containers on the licensed premises; 6 (2) for on–premises consumption; and 7 (3) to an individual present at an event held in the stadium. 8 (d) The license holder may sell alcoholic beverages from the time the stadium 9 opens for the event until the event ends. 10 (e) The license holder may not allow an individual to: 11 (1) carry any alcoholic beverage onto the licensed premises; or 12 (2) carry any alcoholic beverage from the licensed premises. 13 (f) The annual license fee is [$2,000] $2,500. 14 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 15 1, 2024. 16
