BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 1 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 2 Article – Education 3 16–408. 4 (a) (1) The HARFORD COMMUNITY COLLEGE Board of [Community 5 College] Trustees [for Harford County] consists of nine members APPOINTED FROM THE 6 COUNTY AT LARGE . 7 (2) Subject to paragraph (4) (3) of this subsection, each of the members 8 shall be: 9 (i) A resident of Harford County FOR THE DURATION OF THE 10 MEMBER’S TERM; and 11 (ii) Appointed by the Governor for terms of 5 years. 12 (3) Of the nine members: 13 (i) [Six] BEGINNING JULY 1, 2024, SIX shall be appointed [with 14 one from each of the six councilmanic districts] ACCORDING TO THE FOL LOWING: 15 1. THREE MEMBERS RESIDIN G IN COUNCILMANIC 16 DISTRICTS A, B, OR F; and 17 2.
