Anne Arundel County – Alcoholic Beverages – Fees for Class C Per Diem 2

FOR the purpose of increasing in Anne Arundel County the fees for certain Class C per 4
diem alcoholic beverages licenses when issued for a 1–day event with more than a 5
certain number of attendees; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages and 6
license fees in Anne Arundel County. 7

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 18
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 19
Article – Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis 20
4–1203. 21
(a) A Class C per diem beer license or a Class C per diem beer and wine license 22
entitles the license holder to exercise any of the privileges conferred by the respective class 23
of license: 24

(1) for the use of a person holding an entertainment event that is conducted 1
by a club; 2
(2) at the place described in the license; and 3
(3) for a period not exceeding 7 consecutive days. 4

(a) A Class C per diem beer, wine, and liquor license entitles the license holder to 6
exercise any of the privileges conferred by this class of license: 7
(1) for the use of a person holding an entertainment event that is conducted 8
by a club; 9
(2) at the place described in the license; and 10
(3) for a period not exceeding 7 consecutive days. 11

This title applies only in Anne Arundel County. 13

(a) (1) [The] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS 15
SUBSECTION, THE fee for a Class C per diem beer license and a Class C per diem beer and 16
wine license is $25 per day. 17
(2) FOR A 1–DAY EVENT WITH MORE THAN 1,000 ATTENDEES, THE 18
FEE FOR A CLASS C PER DIEM BEER LICENSE AND A CLASS C PER DIEM BEER AND 19
WINE LICENSE IS $500. 20
(b) (1) [The] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS 21
SUBSECTION, THE fee for a Class C per diem beer, wine, and liquor license is $50 per day. 22
(2) FOR A 1–DAY EVENT WITH MORE THAN 1,000 ATTENDEES, THE 23
FEE FOR A CLASS C PER DIEM BEER , WINE, AND LIQUOR LICENSE I S $1,000. 24
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 25
1, 2024. 26
