A BILL ENTITLED 
 
AN ACT concerning 1 
 
Frederick County – Alcoholic Beverages – Class C (Theater) Beer, Wine, and 2 
Liquor License 3 
 
FOR the purpose of establishing a Class C (theater) beer, wine, and liquor license in 4 
Frederick County; authorizing the Board of License Commissioners for Frederick 5 
County to issue the license; authorizing the license holder to sell beer, wine, and 6 
liquor for on–premises consumption, subject to certain limitations; and generally 7 
relating to alcoholic beverages in Frederick County. 8

 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF M ARYLAND, 25 
That Section(s) 20–1014.1 of Article – Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis of the Annotated 26  2 	HOUSE BILL 866  
 
 
Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 20–1014.2. 1 
 
 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland read 2 
as follows: 3 
 
Article – Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis 4

 This title applies only in Frederick County. 6 
 
20–1014.1. 7 
 
 (A) THERE IS A CLASS C (THEATER) BEER, WINE, AND LIQUOR LICENSE . 8 
 
 (B) THE MANAGER OF THE TH EATER OR ANY OTHER O FFICIAL DESIGNATED 9 
BY THE THEATER MAY SIGN THE APPLICATION FOR THE LICENSE . 10 
 
 (C) THE BOARD MAY ISSUE A LIC ENSE FOR USE BY A TH EATER WITH 11 
SEATING. 12 
 
 (D) THE LICENSE AUTHORIZE S THE LICENSE HOLDER TO SELL BEER, WINE, 13 
AND LIQUOR FOR ON –PREMISES CONSUMPTION FROM 1 HOUR BEFORE TO 1 HOUR 14 
AFTER: 15 
 
 (1) A REGULAR PERFORMANC E; 16 
 
 (2) A FUND–RAISER PERFORMANCE T HAT BENEFITS THE THE ATER; 17 
OR 18 
 
 (3) AN EVENT HOSTED BY A N OUTSIDE GROUP THAT HAS RENTED THE 19 
THEATER. 20 
 
 (E) THE ANNUAL LICENSE FE E IS $150. 21 
 
 SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act sh all take effect June 22 
1, 2025. 23
